You are looking at a licensed museum quality reproduction of an Oviraptor Egg.  The original fossil came from the Upper Cretaceous Period of the Gobi Desert, Mongolia.  Certain fossils are just too costly and some are one-of-a-kind specimens that can only be viewed at museums.  This fossil reproduction is an exact copy, cast in resin directly from the actual fossil itself.  The replica egg measures 155mm x 60mm x 51mm.
