B&W 805S Speakers In Cherry

I have for sale my excellent 805S speakers in Cherry. These are the latest version from the current 800 series, with a srp of £2,000.

They are pretty much exactly 1.5 years old and were bought brand new on 29.04.2008.

The speakers are in immaculate condition with no scratches, marks, or defects of any kind. Packaging is complete and I have always kept the grills and tweeter protectors in place. They have been carefully looked after, as I do with all my hifi & av gear. They have only been played at moderate levels, and on average just a few hours a week.

I genuinely believe you will not find a better example of these speakers on the second hand market, and the only way you will be able to tell that they are not brand new is because of the B&W tape on the box, and the fact that one of the speaker link packets has been opened. The reason I am selling these is due to a purchase of a set of Kef Reference 203/2 loudspeakers, which are twice the price. That's the kind of level you need to go to to improve on the 805S.

There have been countless reviews bestowing glowing commendations on these speakers, and they hold a special place in many a hifi enthusiast/reviewer's heart.

The 805S are well balanced speakers without any harshness in the treble, and have a lovely natural midrange and articulate bass. They are one of the larger standmount speakers available, and therefore give a lovely full sound to instruments and vocals with pin point imaging and great acoustic depth.

I am happy for these to be collected in person, or send by fully insured courier. The packaging is excellent and well designed to safeguard the tweeter and whole speaker. I have tried to get the best price for a courier, but as you can imagine it's not cheap for 2 x 12kg boxes, insured. The buyer is welcome to arrange their own courier, which they will be fully responsible for once the speakers have been picked up. The buyer agrees to this by bidding on this item
