B.T. Express, and one that was to be vital to its survival and growth as
a band: it might just be B.T.s best album overall in fact. For “1980’,
their last Roadshow album, Morrie Brown had come on board, on the verge
of his hottest year as a record producer. The changes that New York
dance music was going through as a direct result of the arrival and
dominance of Chic mean that the album has that ‘wide’, warm sound that
was fast becoming the NY norm.
