Autocom Motorcycle 2Way Intercom radio Instructor/Pupil

This auction is for a complete Autocom Instructor and Pupil Intercom Outfit. It comes with all the items as shown in the photos, including the radios too.

This outfit has come to us from the MoD as a surplus item for disposal. It is believed to be in good working order as it came from MoD inventory. (i.e. checked stock - ready for re-deployment). We have a small quantity of these available if the winning bidder is interested in buying more than one.

Our knowledge on these outfits is very limited, but we believe there is everything there that you need to be up and running straight away - including instructions - but please bid accordingly as we can offer no technical advice or assistance. As you can see from the photos there is an instructor outfit (which has more items - on the right hand side of the main photo) and a pupil outfit. The radios are both Motorolas; pupil's model is S200, instructor's is S240.

We have tested the 2-way radios and although they seem to work fine, and the user guide states that the range is up to half a mile, there are no details on the frequencies that the radios use and so we have no way of knowing whether these radios are legal to use in the UK. For that reason, we would recommend that people bid on the basis that the radios may be obsolete and/or worthless, and bid accordingly just for the large quantity of autocom equipment as shown.

The instructor's outfit includes VOX (voice activated) transmission control, and can communicate with one or more of the student outfits simultaneously. Here is a detailed description of all the component items included in each outfit.

Instructor's Autocom Outfit

• Motorola S240 2-Way radio transmitter with aerial, multiple channels
• Autocom bike power unit (links into bike's battery system for continual power to radio)
• Autocom headset with microphone
• Autocom adapter lead with Vox control dial (to connect headset to radio, and allows voice activated operation)
• Autocom nylon case for radio, with belt and cover
• Instruction sheet for both outfits

Student's Autocom Outfit

• Motorola S200 2-Way radio transmitter with aerial, multiple channels
• Battery pack for radio
• Charger for radio
• Autocom headset
• Autocom adapter lead (to connect headset to radio)
• Autocom nylon case for radio, with belt and cover

We now have only one more spare, additional, Autocom student outfit available, should the winning bidder wish to buy it, to allow talking to 2 students at the same time. We can sell this extra student outfit to the winning bidder for £30 extra - just let us know at the end of the auction. It won't affect the delivery charges.
