GeminiJane Tribal Collection

This is a Genuine Handcrafted Tribal Necklace from Gambia.  The necklace is around 28" long plus the Rams Head Pendant (the Rams Head is around 2.5" x 2".  The necklace is made with black glass seed beads and handcrafted wooden beads and silver beads.   

The GeminiJane Tribal Collection is all handcrafted in Gambia by a local family using natural materials, such as glass and wooden beads, natural gemstones, Tallo Kiloo seed pods, shells, leather, cow horn and fish vertibrae, (unusual I know, but a very effective and funky look).  Very fair prices are paid for all items.  It is a very poor country, and I see it as a good way of helping them to build a better life for themselves and their famillies.  It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to be able to help these beautiful people.  Their skills are fascinating and amazing they utilise the oddest things that we in this country would perhaps waste and disreguard.   Also in abundance all over Africa are beautiful and amazing gemstones, new and fascinating gems are being discovered all the time.  I am now able to offer this beautiful Range which incidientally will be updated regularly with new items as they are fashioned and become available.
