Hello!
This listing is for one gorgeous, simple, and original hammered metal photo frame from the Arts and Crafts movement. I am not sure of what metal this frame was made. It might be hammered bronze, but again, not sure.

It bears its original, fabulous, label affixed to the surface of the board, beneath the glass on the front of the frame and an impressed label on the back of the frame, on its easel stand.
The impressed label reads:Made in Birmingham/Arco/Nl226__/Patent__  
Some of the impressed label is missing due to some damage to the wooden easel's back.

The frame is ingenious in its simplicity with a fab closure that operates like a hinge at one end while the rest of the back fits neatly into the bent frame at the other end. So simple yet so ingenious and so much better than the designs of today!

It measures about 6" long by about 4" wide along its outside perimeter edges and about 5 3/8" long by 3 3/8" wide along the inside perimeter edges where the photo will be visible.
This would make a fantastic Christmas gift for the man in your life or any collector of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
