Limited Edition of only 59 copies, this being # 33. Thick dark green card wraps, 9" x 7.5", with a facsimile reproduction of the original front cover of The Art Journal, dated 1908. This reprint comes 100 years later, and features an early review of Spare's artworks, by Sketchley, based largely on an exhibition which took place at the Bruton gallery, in 1908. It provides a very interesting contemporary insight into how Spare's work was received in critical and artistic circles, in those early years. 

The text, and four b&w illustrations by Spare, are reproduced on 120 gramme cream goatskin parchment paper. There is also a very elegant illustrated book mark &/or limitation plate, tipped in on the back inside cover. A very handsomely produced 16 page booklet, by the publishers responsible for AOS: A Celebration, Existence, Adventures in Limbo, Oswell Blakeston, and the recent three volume Vera Wainwright /Austin Osman Spare collection. Like all these previous titles, this is certain to become very collectible, especially given the tiny print run.
