The importance of coupling

One reason why the sound from your system can sound artificial and flat is because of its support. Energy generated by your system playing - such as CD transports moving, transformers in equipment working, and even the sound from your loudspeakers - is stored in your system's individual components. RCI in-depth

The RCI feet are made of Sorbothane, a visco-elastic polymer that exhibits shock absorption, vibration isolation and vibration damping characteristics. Unlike fluid-based absorbers or foam products, it absorbs acoustics efficiently converting noise into a quiet success. The RCI structure contains enough material to ensure there remains physical continuity between top and bottom surfaces, so that any isolation will be the function principally of Sorbothane. This is up to a maximum of 70kg per set.

Being springy and usefully having grip, you can be assured that kit mounted on these feet won't slide around without severe provocation. The metal O ring ensures the whole structure remains rigid and acts as a back-bone in keeping shape.
What do I use the RCI under?

All equipment that needs supporting will benefit. Use them under your CD or DVD player, your amplifiers and TV screens, even your loudspeakers. Either point down or, use them free standing and point up. Just choose your preferred method of fitting.
