This lovely book was published by Routledge and sons in 1905,  first illustrated edition. It has 12 tissue guarded black and white photogravures in lovely romantic art nouveau style by Gilbert James and has a gilded cover and spine, together with the top of the page edges. Condition is very good throughout with no foxing, scribbles or tears,  all plates present and correct and nice and tight .    Further photographs can be supplied if required, I can’t find this particular version on  antique book collectors websites so I think fairly rare.
