A WARTIME FIGHTER PILOT, HE WAS IMPRESSED BY THE R.A.F WAY OF SIMPLIFYING NAVIGATION, AND USES IT FOR SMALL BOATS. HE SAILS MAINLY ON THE SOUTH COAST, AND WAS AT HOME IN EVERYTHING FROM DINGHIES LIKE THE 14 - FOOT INTERNATIONAL TO OCEAN RACERS. HE WAS A JOURNALIST ON A NATIONAL NEWSPAPER.  THE BOOK IS A FASCINATING INSIGHT OF A SAILOR FROM A DIFFERENT GENERATION. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY NAUTICAL PERSON .

THE BOOK IS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE DUSTCOVER IS STILL INTACT.
