I have discovered that the Royal Mail no longer pays compensation for undelivered eBay packages, even when covered by a certificate of posting. For this reason, if you don’t choose to take up the option of recorded delivery/insurance, I won’t be responsible for replacing the goods or refunding their cost if the package goes astray, as I have always done in the past. I will, however, be happy to send you the proof of posting certificate, which I shall continue to obtain, if you want to make your own claim in the event of non-delivery
