Astelia Nervosa 'Westland'
Large 3 litre.
Astelia nervosa 'Westland' is an evergreen perennial from New Zealand which forms silvery /reddish brown.
Arching sword-like leaves turning red in cold weather.
Hardy to minus 5-6 c on our nursery, but the larger the plant the greater the frost resistance so you should be safe planting out this large 3 litre pot full plant.
Stylish in form, it is suited to mass planting in almost all gardens, from city balconies to suburban beds and borders, coastal sites and rockeries.
If pot/container grown will keep the plant to 2-3 ft (depending on the pot size) but once planted out can reach up to 1 metre with a spread of 1 metre.
Best grown in fertile well-drained soil that retains moisture.
A slow release fertilizer and a compost mix when planting will give the plant a great start.
The Plant you will receive is currently in a 3 litre pot, which is lush and full, fully established.
Please note you can order as many plants as you wish for a flat rate postage of £8.00 excluding large palms. ![]() |
