EXCLUSIVE ENAMEL BOX

 

This is a large oval enamel box measuring  2 1/2 inches by 2 inches with a gilded hinged mount and a cobalt blue enamel base.  It was produced as a special commission for the Chi Omega Sorority as part of their Owl Symphony collection.  The original company name, Ashley Enamels was changed to Royale Stratford at the time this series of designs were produced, so this Ashley basestamped enamel is unique!  This design featuring the Great Horned Owl, was the first of the series, dated 2001, which is shown on the inside lid, together with the sorority seal.  It is in perfect condition and signed by the artist on the basestamp and is complete with presentation case.
