Art Nouveau Glass Vase French Enamelled

ART NOUVEAU GLASS FRENCH ENAMELLED VASE.

Rebelling against established forms, a style in fashion from the late 1800's till just prior to the 1st World War. It was adapted by many artists including Emile Galle and Louis Comfort Tiffany, who tried to recreate the irridescence and pitted surfaces created by minerals and moisture acting on the glass's surface buried in the earth. The term 'Art Nouveau' is from a Paris gallery owned by Siegfried Bing called 'Maison de l'Art Nouveau'.

This is a stylish large frosted Vase with Enamelled and Gilted decoration.

Artist unknown believed French circa 1900's.

height: 33cms, width: 10.5cms, weight: 600gms.

THIS ITEM IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION (has some minor age wear - although the Enamelling and gilding is perfect).

POSTAGE: Postage has currently gone through the roof in terms of price with it being predominately based on 'Volume' as opposed to actual 'weight'.
