Art Deco Silver Carnelian and Marcasite Necklace c1925

Three cabochon Carnelian stones have an ornate mount set with Marcasites. Between each stone is a further decorative link also set with Marcasites. The Chain is of openwork fancy links. The Necklace has been made in high grade Silver.

The design and craftsmanship date this Collar to the Art Deco period, circa 1925.

 

 

Sizing, Marks and Condition

The Necklace is 44.5cm or 17 1/2 inches long. The Carnelian stones and mount are each 19mm by 17mm or 3/4 inch by just under 3/4 inch. The stones test as Carnelian. Weight is 19.3g.

Unmarked, tests as high grade Silver. The stones are slightly less red than they appear in some pictures.

In very good condition.
