Art Deco Molly Hancock - Corona "Autumn" Plate - c.1930

This is an Art Deco, signed, hand-painted plate made by Hancock in the 1930s in their Coronaware in the "Autumn" pattern, signed by the artist, Molly Hancock.  Measuring 9" in diameter, it is decorated with hand-painted flowers in colours of yellow, orange, red, blue and green on a mottled brown ground, and it bears the Molly Hancock backstamp as may be seen in the second photograph.  Typical of these wares, the glaze is crazed on the back but does not affect the front, and it is in very good condition overall with no chips, no cracks, no restoration, and the enamels are bright and fresh.  It is offered at a starting price of £3.
