A vintage Art Deco two handled soup coupe bowl and cover backstamped with the 1930's burgess & Leigh "Burleigh Ware"mark.  There is an impressed registered number that I think is 766416 although this is difficult to read and a handpainted gilt pattern number 4693.  The cream coloured dish is circled with a black band overpainted with a gilt pattern, this design is repeated on the lid, this together with the gilt highlights on the decorative knop and angular handles is fresh and intact.  The pieces are in good condition, free from chips, cracks and crazing.  It is 4.75" in diameter, 6.5" from handle to handle and just over 2.5" high to the rim.  Please ask if you have any questions or would like additional photographs.
