This item is part of the Around the World in 80 Days auction in aid of BBC Children in Need.

The clothes Bill packed were more for travelling not dancing. However, Bill still has a hankering for his “Strictly” days, and when he met Russian beauty Marina on the train to Vladivostok, she convinced him to put on his dancing shoes once more and join her for a tango. With just 24 hours in Vladivostok until he and Louise set off for Korea, he hit the shops to find something to wear on the dance floor.

After getting some help from an enthusiastic sales assistant, Bill bought this fabulous faux leather shirt and trousers. Inspired by his outfits on “Strictly”, he wanted to look the part and he more than proved that there were still some moves left in the old dog!

Although they were starting to think they had been duped when they arrived at the venue to find that they had to walk up a seemingly never-ending flight of stairs, Bill was pleasantly surprised if not gobsmacked to discover the club hidden away on the top floor was an exact replica of an Argentinian tango club!
