This is a very original, and unrestored Ariel VB600. I believe its about a 1955, but the log book says 1960, but I think thats a mistake. It has its V5C present, and the reg is none transferrable. I will run it down for an MOT tomorrow, so hopefully it will be fully taxed and tested before this advert ends. I haven,t had to do a lot to it to get it ready for the test, just new battery, new horn, mess with the wiring a bit, that sort of thing. I purposely haven,t touched it cosmetically, because I know that theres a lot of people out there who either like them original and unmolested, or if they do want them restored, prefer to do it themselves to make sure its done right. So, this is perfect for either of those camps. Its basically, a good original, solid old Ariel, that doesn,t look like its been touched in years. It starts, runs, all the lights work, brakes and suspension work, and its ripe to restore or run as is. It smoked a bit at first, but I think that was down to it having wet sumped, or it , might need an oil ring or something, but its not excessive and its may just settle down when you start to run it. Its been laid up for yonks and needs running. The motor is very sweet, very good spark, starts easily, Pulls like a train, I just can,t think theres much wrong with this. Wheels are painted as you can see, all the paintwork looks original, all the tinware is very solid, not rotten or dented etc. It looks like it hasn,t been touched since the day it left the factory.
