The part where the charger or usb cable plugs in has been damaged, one of the gold prongs has been bent back so the ipod will not connect to the computer or to any charging device.

 

The iPod itself still worked fine up until it completely ran out of charge so if you could fix the problem, it should still work.

 

The back of the iPod is quite scratched and there are a couple of very light scratches on the screen which I have only just noticed now upon closer inspection so it has never impaired my viewing.

I can't get a decent picture of the ipod without the flash messing it up so I have uploaded a generic picture but if you would like pictures of the actual iPod I shall try getting so in natural light and email you them.
