iPod Touch 16GB 1st Generation

First off i would like to say this iPod was well looked after! It was always kept in a hard plastic case, never removed and at one point I had kept a screen protecter on it.

About 12 months into owning it, the Home Button stopped working (When i say stopped working i mean i had to press it very hard for it to work but still worked). I had just missed the warrenty date so i could not return it and get a new one! I managed to live with it like this for a while until i saw a few videos on YouTube where they showed how to open it up!

I then thought i would risk it and open mine up to see what was wrong! So i proceeded to open it and took great care whilst doing this! I wanted this to work so therefore i purchased the correct tools to do this job. Once i found the problem i managed to fix this SUCCESSFULLY :) ! I was very happy with this and put it back together and found that the iPod would not repsond to any of the buttons when i pressed them!

I didnt know what to do so i plugged it into iTunes and my computer STILL recognised it! So i went and did a full restore and the iPod began working as if i had just purchased it!

HOWEVER LOL i noticed there was dirt on the inside screen (This probably happened when i dismantled it) so i opened it up once again to clean it this time. However when i put it back together this time, IT WOULD NOT SWITCH ON AND MY COMPUTER WOULD NOT RECOGNISE IT :( !!!!!

I was quite dissapointed at this point as im sure many of you would be! I took great care of this iPod but now i am selling it as somebody else may know what could be wrong with it! I'm sure it is fixable but i just cant figure out what it is.

You are just bidding for the iPod Touch and nothing else!

A: Hi, Those tools i used are infact damaged from using them so much! They dont work as they should anymore! Although if you do win, i will point out on the iPod (with some sticky-pads) the places you should pry it open.... Continue reading
