Item has been relisted due to buyer unable to collect - this is cash on collection with pick up from Islington N1 or Luton LU3 .

Hi and welcome to my auction for a very cool and desirable Apple iBook G4 12" laptop

It has been 100% reliable, very versatile and a superbly useful machine for all my needs - I'm only selling due to upgrading.

This could be the perfect laptop for a student or similar.

Comes complete with Apple OS X Tiger 3.5m charger lead, Apple Pro optical mouse and I'll even throw in a very useful  1GB memory sticks too. I don't have the discs that came with it, but I've never had to use them for any Mac I've ever owned anyway!

It also will come with a brand new laptop case that cost 25 pounds.

It's been very well looked after and has all the usual great Apple stuff:

  • Airport extreme wireless technology to surf the net from any wi-fi spot, as well as a built in modem.
  • Apple Superdrive which plays DVDs and also reads/burns to CD,
  • Firewire, USB and Bluetooth connectivity - connects in moments to nearly any device you can name
  • Usual standard Apple programs like iTunes, iPhoto, Apple Works (fully Windows compatible word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software) as well as some extra stuff I've added like Seashore (photo editing, similar to Photoshop) and some others.
  • Battery holds an excellent charge, easily 3 hrs and often more depending on what you are doing (more than the new laptop my flatmate bought this year!)
  • Boots up quickly and everything works as it should.

Cosmetically it is in great condition for its age, to the outer shell there are a few small scuff marks (as with any of these Macs) but not noticeable unless held at an angle to the light so really, it still looks cool, crisp and white as an Apple should. In terms of how old it is, I'm afraid I'm unsure (as I bought it used) but the info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBook suggests it was one of the latest ones made, as it features Bluetooth.

Inside, there is little sign of wear to the screen, keyboard or mouse track pad but I have now noticed a couple of very small hairline cracks to the housing, a few milimeters long. These aren't deep cracks that would compromise the strength of the housing, but surface only. I'm sure they don't show up on the pics I've taken, but if you'd like closer images, please let me know and I can email.

I've popped the techy spec below, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Pick up available from London N1or Luton LU3 .

Happy bidding,
Richard
