The disk drive uses the very latest 500GB per platter perpendicular recording technology, enabling massive capacity without increasing heat compared to previous generation disks that only have 250GB per platter - so using less power and less heat.
This product works wonderfully with any PC or Mac. We pre-format for Mac (HFS+) or PC (NTFS format). Please let us know if you are a PC user when you order, otherwise it will be supplied in Mac format.

The whole product has a 2 year warranty, that includes everything - the disk enclosure, disk drive and power adapter.

If you have a Firewire or USB 2.0 port already on your Mac or PC, then there is nothing to do apart from plugging in the disk and turning on its power. Mac OS or Windows plug and play will recognise the disk and it will appear just like any other disk.
