for all models of black or white MacBook 13" & MacBook Pro 15".

Not suitable for the newer Unibody MacBooks or MacBook Pros which require drives with a SATA interface.

This drive reads DVDs at up to 8x speed, writes CD-R discs at up to 24x speed, writes CD-RW discs at up to 16x speed and reads CDs at up to 24x speed.

The CW-8221 is a 9.5mm height drive and is slimmer than the normal slimline opticals used in the iBook and powerBook range.
