Apple G3 iMac G4 Cube Slot Load Dvd Cd Drive SR-8184-B

These are tested drives from G3 iMacs. This is a great upgrade for a old imac, there are instructions available online. It is a genuine Apple drive so it is bootable.
Apple Model Number:  SR-8184-B: reads DVD disks at 4x speed and reads CD disks at 24x speed. 
For use in:
All slot loading imacs:
350Mhz, 400Mhz, 450Mhz, 500Mhz and 600Mhz regardless of color :)
Apple G4 Cube:
450Mhz and 500Mhz models

Please note, if you are upgrading your CD drive to a DVD drive you will need to download and install the Apple Dvd Player software, or VLC Player. Both can be downloaded free on cnet.  While you can use the drive right away with  normal data CD's and DVD's you won't be able to watch DVD movies until you load the dvd software.
