     This is a brand new Applause MAE148 Acoustic/Electric Mandolin from the Applause by Ovation Deluxe Series.

     We are authorized retailers for Applause, so these brand new mandolins come complete with the original factory warranty.

     The Applause MAE148 is a 23 fret, 8-string acoustic/electric mandolin with a roundback, single cut-away body style.  Featuring a Spruce top in a Natural finish, it has a 13 7/8" scale length and 1 1/8" nut width.

     The roundback design with a spruce top delivers a big acoustic sound, and the built-in pickup is 12dB hotter than normal pickups.

     Ovation’s award winning multi-sound hole technology is now incorporated into the Applause Deluxe Series.  Its full, balanced sound is pumped out through the calibrated top and fine-tuned bracing.  The Lyrachord body allows for the back of the mandolin to be free of reinforcements that can inhibit sound projection.
