This buy it now today is for this wonderful antique/ vintage European homespun linen/hemp sack . This beautiful sack is has a lovely hand stitched monogram that is red and very large! . The hemp is a wonderful pale oatmeal, lovely lovely texture! !! ~*~ This sack would make wonderful, floor cushions, sofa pillows, bolster pillows, upholstery fabric, pillows, laundry bag, table runner, bathmat, roman shade, hand towels, fabric for wonderful, heirloom sewing projects~*~ you name it! This fabric is wonderful and very very durable! ~ This lovely sack measures 4.92 feet by 22.44 inches ( 150cm by 57cm ) ( of course it is twice the lenght as it has both sides~*~) this sack is very long and very wide! Lots of fabric to use!
It is one long piece of linen hand stitched together at each side with a wonderful heavy hemp thread, a lovely feature~ this sack is in lovely condition,light dirt that will wash no problem~*~

The linen is home grown, home retted and hand woven. These sacks are 100% machine washable! I wash them on a regular 40c or even 60c cycle and then hang to dry ( however you can tumble dry too!). If there is dirt present simply add Oxyclean or similar~ hemp was built to last, and last .....and last...the more you use it the more wonderful it becomes~ most times there isn't even a need for ironing after wash~ perfect for easy lifestlyes~*~
~*~I have found so many uses for these sacks. I have made floor cushions ( reading cushions for my kids), bed cushions for propping on the headboards, laundry sacks, bath mats, also they are just wonderful to open out as table runners, .... I have seen them used for upholstering chairs, sofas and even someone has created a patchwork effect by opening out 7 sacks each with different stripes and sewing together to upholster a sofa..STUNNING...as they obviously have 2 pieces of linen to be used ( front and back) and most are one piece on linen simply sewn at the seams ( some have seam at the bottom, please enquire)....the list is endless! The linen is lovely and extremely tactile~*~
