Description: You are bidding for a stunning and very beautiful Victorian carved shell Cameo brooch. This one of many brooches we have been instructed to sell from one person’s collection

The cameo has been carved to a high standard and is depicting the head and shoulders of an elegant lady. The subject has been well carved showing good detail

The figure is shown with grace and movement, with pearls around her neck and vine flowers in her hair and is set against a brown shell background

The cameo is held in the frame that has a loop at the top for a necklace. It has a pin and clasp to the reverse. The frame is marked 900 grade silver and is set with small marcasite stones that sparkle when the light hits

This is a stunning cameo brooch that would certainly compliment any fine vintage jewellry collection and would make an excellent gift for any friend or loved one

 

Size (inches)  just over 1.55" high

Condition:  We have looked at this in depth and it is of our opinion that it is in the good condition as shown in the detailed photos below.  Checked:(sp06/11/09)
