In need of repair - but beautiful, please see the photos

This christening gown is made from good heavy quality cotton,  generously embellished with really lovely broiderie anglaise.  A portion of broiderie anglaise has been removed from the front of the skirt leaving needle marks, which are not overly noticeable and could easily be hidden with the addition of a replacement panel. The vertical panels of broiderie anglaise on the skirt also need some re-stitichig, otherwise this gown is in a very good and clean condition. The back of the skirt and the bodice are plain but the generous pintucking and broiderie anglaise on the hem is continued all around the hem, giving significant weight to this garment and allowing it hang beautifully. It is secured by means of two thin cotton strings. The front skirt panel is edged with vertical embroiderie anglaise matching the same in the chest panel. It measures 11" underarm to underarm when laid flat and 38" from underarm to hem. A really beautiful robe for a very special occassion.
Ideal dress for a special doll as well as its intended purpose.
