Description

For Auction:

An antique turn of the century - very clean - solid oak box that is in very good condition for its age - and comes with a working lock and key.

The chest shaped box - is in wonderful condition - golden honey coloured - with very good grain patina - high sheen. There are no faults nor marks upon the wood. With original brass banding and decorative corner pieces - there is a central cartouche with matching escutcheon. The box comes with its original - strong - 2 levered brass lock - key to this lock was missing - it has been replaced - and lock now works perfectly.

Internally - as you can see by the photos - the box is in pristine condition - with no marks nor blemishes upon the wood - very clean overall.

This is a very good looking - antique oak box that is full of character - which could be put in any room of the home - and look rather special.

The box measures 7.75" in length - width 5" - height 4" - it weighs approx 500grams.

We only ever charge the correct postage - if there is an undercharge error - then we ourselves pay the difference. If we inadvertently overcharge - then we always refund you the difference. WE NEVER OVERCHARGE ON POSTAGE - ALL PACKING MATERIALS USED ARE FREE OF CHARGE.
