Antique Mining Miners Saftey Lamp in Steel Brass Small









Description

 

 

This antique miniature sized mining lamp is made of steel & brass and is marked by the makers "W& P.B" and measures just 7.5 inches from the base to the top of the ring and 2.2 inches in diameter. The original glass has a crack in it but is otherwise in good condition fo rits age. This unusual lamp is thought to have been made following the West Stanley Colliery disaster in 1909 and was a fundraising item for the victims relatives. This super little lamp will make a fine addition to any vintage miners lamp collection..........BID NOW!
