An antique solid silver dish inset with M Theresia Thaler Austrian coin dated 1780. The coin, produced in 1780, commerated the death of Empress Maria Theresia. Her successor was Joseph II. It is in fine silver and weighs 1oz. I believe the dish was produced around the start of this century. It is hand decorated with an intricate stamped design of circles and swirls. The coin is inset, so allowing this very elegant piece to be used as a dish or a coaster. Made of European Sterling silver.

The coin is marked with M THERESIAD G R IMP HU BO REG. There is a double heade eagle on the  reverse and the marking ARCHID AVSI BURG CO TYR 1780.

Approx weight 90 grams. Approx diameter 11.5cm. Coin 4cm. In very good condition. Some slight wear to the perimeter of the coin, as seen in the photos.
