A Circa 1890 Antique Pink Paw Bear Sitting on a pair of Binoculars!
Recently acquired from an estate here in Upstate NY
This Figurine features
the Small and charming Bear with Gray/White coat and pink paws sitting on the nose piece of a pair of Green Glazed Binoculars (The same cabbage green used on the popular Pink Pigs Series of German Porcelain trinkets)
The binoculars are trimmed in Gold and the "eye pieces" are open to use as a toothpick holder, Small flower vase etc
This is all crafted of a Glazed Porcelain
not marked (Produced BEFORE the Tariff act of 1890 that required items to be marked with country of origin) but guaranteed old & original
Stands 3 1/4" high by 3 1/2" wide
Excellent Condition! no chips, cracks or repairs, There is some mottling on the green glaze of the binoculars but this was obviously done in the making (The green is cabbage green NOT the brighter green that the Close up photos appear to show)
