Antique Pine Blanket Box

Antique pine is noted for the characteristic scars that it carries across it's grain and the wonderful colouration of the stain it produces.  This blanket box carries all the hallmarks of a fantastic piece of antique furniture and has been distressed through the ages although this merely enhances the charisma of the piece and does not affect the charm or value in any way.  The box is pine both inside and out showing a solid history and the metal hinges are not only working but remain in applaudable condition.  There is no shortage of space on the blanket box and one can see from the measurements below that many a household item may be stored in here from blankets to duvets and a host of other large items.  The box consists of dovetailed joints and is paper lined.  Features also include brass handles either side and a locking mechanism in the front with unfortunately no key.  This asid the box has a moulded base and sits on wheels for ease of manouverability.  The box is in good condition with no worm or rot but displays a proliferation of dings and dents to the finish authenticating the age and charm of the piece. Charm like this rarely comes cheap but today it does and is the reason one should bid now instead of delaying off.

 All items are sent either by specialist antiques courier or via Royal Mail.  Royal mail items are always sent recorded or special delivery.  We do charge for packing materials and time entailed in packing items over & above delivery costs; this is included in quoted delivery price. 
Please contact us regarding quotes for overseas shipping. We accept no liability for damage/loss of goods in the post, but we will give buyers all help necessary in making a claim for compensation against the PO or other carrier. Proof of posting is always obtained and will be kept for one month following delivery.  Postage will be discounted for buyers buying more than one item at the same time. We are happy for customers to collect their purchase at their own liability, or arrange for own courier service to collect, subject to prior arrangement, again we accept no liability for loss or damage incurred as a result of not using our recommended services.  Despatch   All items delivered via Royal Mail will be dispatched within three days of payment being received.
Items being sent via courier will be booked within three days of payment - delivery to be confirmed by the couriers with approximate date and time of delivery.  Delivery is usually within two weeks.
Measurements   While we endeavour to be as accurate as possible, please contact us to double-check if necessary BEFORE BIDDING. Photographs: All photographs are taken to ensure colours are as close as possible to the items,  unfortunately colour reproduction varies with different monitors and their settings, and the colours may show differently on your monitor. Cancellation of Bids/Purchases  We reserve the right to cancel a bid or purchases from any buyer who arouses suspicion as to their reliability/credibility or who have not read/complied with the terms and condition of sale.
