Antique Ladies PARAGON FOX Parasol/Umbrella

 

Super early Edwardian Ladies Paragon Parasol/Umbrella by S. Fox and Co. Ltd.

Wooden shaft with finely ribbed handle (possibly bone) with sliding rib holder.

Pusher and 8 metal ribs and rib supports.

Mechanism works smoothly and all ribs are there as well as top and bottom holding springs.

It has a black tassel attached to a black wooden bead.

The main cover is black with a lighter striped edging.

 

There is some rust at the joint of the ribs and rib supports.

The handle has some curly markings which I do not think are original.

The cover is quite badly worn with holes and tears and will need a complete recover but enough whole panels remain to make a pattern.

I have made no attempts to clean or renovate.

 

As this item is more than 60cm long I cannot use 1st or 2nd class mail - so postage inside UK is £4.50 (Royal Mail Standard Parcels)

 

I will post Worldwide but again as this item is more than 60cm long, I cannot use airmail or even surface mail so have to use a courier service.
