An splendid antique King George VI,Authentic coronation silver plated cake scoop/slice in unused and original condition presented in its own original mail parcel,this being a mail order piece during the period from 'Dorcheter plate' retailed by thomas hedley & Co of Newcastle upon tyne,an official release the packet that it is presented in bears royal marks for july circa 1937, and the english rose coronation cartouche, the cake scoop itself is a quality piece,heaivly silver plated,finished with a traditional styled pierced scoop fitments,slender shanked stem and tail embossed with a super fluer-dy-lys style emblem,the reverse of the piece is embossed with the royal cypher for King George Vi and the words 'coronation 1937'..also present is the makers mark 'Dorchester plate'
