A Superb,antique japanese,late meiji period,circa 1900 solid silver tea spoon in very good but used condition,boasts a delicate and slender stem embossed so as to resemble a stick of bamboo the piece is finished with a generous and rather deep spoon bowl and a tail finial heavily carved,pierced and embossed with traditional styled japanese patterning finished with a superb crest in the form of a winged creature,possibly a bird or insect within a closed cartouche,the reverse of the tail is impressed with the makers mark and constituance..

weight : 15.2 grammes
