Description
Description
:
 A James Kent blue and white vase in the Oriental taste. The pattern denoted Servia from the printed mark to the underside. Underglaze blue and white decoration with overglaze red enamel providing an interesting contrast. Certainly an unusual piece and these early example of Kent are not commonly found. Various printed marks to the underside including their Foley Ware trade mark and Fenton mark for their factory in the Staffordshire potteries.
Condition
:
 No chips or cracks. Does have losses of the red overglaze paint along with some age related wear and rubbing of the gilt around the rim.
