ANTIQUE SEWING SAMPLER - LOTS OF DETAILS

A German class exam sampler from 1925, pretty 2-tone monogram "ES" - also an attached paper label from the teacher in that old Suetterlin script - how cool is that??

Wonderful, unbleached, homespun linen, everything is stitched by hand.  The decorative stitches are done in red, also a strip of crochet, several buttons, buttonholes, hook & eye and loops, hangers and seams.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN:  Germany, 1925

MATERIAL:     linen

MEASUREMENT:    18" by 12.5"

CONDITION:    excellent

Storage marks, surface dust, and age spots are a normal occurrence with vintage/antique linen pieces and will not be mentioned as flaws - since one launder will remove them.  Any more permanent flaws like age-old stains, rust spots, holes, and mends will always be listed under CONDITION
