Antique German Glass Beer Stein - Late 1700s
Presented is a very old German glass beer stein in excellent condition. Made around late 1700 - early 1800s. Glass body blown into a wooden mold with a pattern of bubbles - unusual for this type of glass steins. Large pontil mark on the bottom.
Applied handle with typical 1700 shape and attachments to the body. The lid is typical late 1700s lid with sea-shell thumblift and large 5-ring closed hinge. Owner's initials on the lid. Excellent flawless condition - rare for this type of steins from this period. 7" tall, 0.5L capacity.
Please keep in mind - this is true authentic drinking vessel about 200 years old, not a copy or fake. I have been collecting and trading antique beer steins for many years - I guarantee my description.
Payment must be received within 10 days of the end of the auction.
Please note: the term excellent flawless condition in case of an antique (about 100 year old) item means that there is no major flaws detected - like chips, cracks or repairs. It does not include the normal wear for the age unless stated otherwise.
