This is a Georgian fork made of silver with mother of pearl handle (scales) which unfortunately has a fine small crack. It was originally part of a pair, the other being a knife, which is now sadly lost. The metal studs and both ends of the handle are a gold colour, and are possibly plated. It is a lovely little thing and really quite useful, especially when on a picnic!
