An original multi-fuel stove from P. Genevée, the Perfector. To all intents and purposes a working stove; however, it has no back!

All the hearth parts are present, both bottom and side baffles, rear baffle and grate. The ash can is also present, there is some perforation to the ash can.

Offered as a project stove, any competent metalworker could fabricate a replacement back for this stove and incorporate a flue stub suitable for UK flues, the back from this stove was removed to replace one that had a hairline crack in the back of another Perfector that was a better colour for our client.

The rear plate is a flat plate with supports onto which the internal components rest. Again, a simple fabrication job which does not need to be a cast plate as original but easily achieved in stainless steel.

Otherwise, the stove is in very good to excellent order; the honey brown enamel is virtually faultless.

A: Certainly, the dimensions are (approx. mm); width 525, height 600 (800 with lid raised to reveal the hotplate) and depth 400. The original flue stub would have been 97mm but as a replacement back is required a flue stub... Continue reading
