This buy it now is for this beautiful, chic and sophisticated antique textile dating 1880~*~ This buy it now is for amazingly beautiful Antique French jacquard weave French antique tapestry panel ~ this wonderful, rich textile measures 9.25 feet long by 3.87 feet wide~ ~*~(282cm long by118cm wide)~*~ This wool and cotton mix tapestry is so rich, so beautiful and very high quality indeed~ This panel has been woven using a Jacquard loom ~ and was at one point used as a curtain panel, perhaps even on a doorway or wall decoration~*~ ~*~ the colors include very deep burgundy, deep rich khaki tending twards the greener side of khaki, deep cream ~ This lovely lovely rich panel is woven using pure cotton and the deep burgundy tone is wool!! This is a very heavy weight textile indeed. This panel has been backed in the most extraordinary royal red cotton! Near the bottom of the red backing there has been a pattern embossed on the cotton~ it is plain cotton without the embossed design on the top~ You can see the bottom of this amazing textile has a decorative square ( please see photograph 5 and 6 ~ and the top is the floral prin as number 10 shows~ There are borders that run up each side also~ then at the bottom them intersec forming a lovely V in each corner~ it is a really wonderful wonderful textile~ rare and beautiful. This panel could be hung today as a wall decoration, curtain panel or also used for upholstery projects and pillows etc~ (At the time I listed this textile I do have another matching panel. Please see my auctions ~ or email if you have any questions! ~* This textile is in original unwashed condition. It has survived in amazing condition!! ~ The red backing has a 3 inch hole, and a couple of 1 inch holes. there is an L shaped tear on the red backing just along the side~ , however easily repaired if wishing to use as is~ there is some ever so slight fading to the sides, however that would be if I was really being picky~*~ in tiny places you can see the wool has worn away ~ and there is a half inch hole just near the side of the tapestry ( where the tear is on the backing)however there is nothing to detract from the stunning beauty of this textile~ a wonderful, rare and very high quality textile indeed~*~ ( PANEL ONE)
