Antique Chinese Embroidered Silk & Gold Sleeve Band

This is a  very old piece of antique Chinese needlework - a single sleeve band, I think,  beautifully embroidered in silk on silk with - as you can see from the pictures - a great deal of gold thread. It depicts flowers, trees and a couple of roofed buildings lovely outdoor pavilions beside flowing water and flowers.  It measures 8.5 inches by 24 inches (framed) . The needlework itself measures 5 inches by 20 inches . There is a bit of damp, resulting in two or three small spots of discolouration on the left hand side, on the black background, not on the needlework itself. Although it seems very old and quite fragile, the needlework itself seems to be in good condition. I think it does, however, need a little expert TLC - perhaps even reframing. I am not prepared to remove it from its frame, so sadly can only post this within the UK since it isn't possible to insure glass for overseas shipping
