Purchased in Casper, Wyoming about 1928 by a family member, these were stored away for many years. Obtained as a pair, we decided to keep them that way. They are quite small. The basket stands a bit over 3 1/4" tall and is about the same in diameter, at the widest. The smaller basket is about 3 3/4" in diameter, and has a length of grass attached to a loop in the outer rim. There used to be more, but some disappeared over the years. These were probably woven for the tourist trade at the time. Grandma had quite a collection of native crafts of all kinds, gathered during her travels in the West as the wife of a USGS geologist. Shipping is FREE via USPS First Class Mail anywhere in the U.S. Shipping to the U.K. or most of Europe will be about US $11.00.
