DESCRIPTION
|
Antique Briar Pipe, with Silver Band 1901
This pipe has the silver hallmarks for Birmingham for the year 1901, it is in good condition, it has been smoked. The mouth piece is of Amber and I think the tip may have broken off. If so, I suppose this could be repaired. The pipe measures 5 inches in length by 1 3/4 inches high.
The only marking to suggest a maker are visible in the second photograph, it appears to be a shield with a Y shaped cross and the letters M at the top, the letters R C in the lower two sections.
