Antique Art Deco Chrome Waltham Pocket Watch Repair

Original, open-face, chrome pocket watch by Waltham USA. Screw-fit front bezel and back cover. Case is nice condition with light surface scratches and brassing to the top of the bow. Excellent two-tone, engine-turned silvered dial with gold applied numerals. Light surface speckling and natural patina. Original blue-steel hands with sub seconds. Mineral glass crystal. Damascened, pendant-wind lever movement in excellent cosmetic condition. Movement is complete and the main spring and balance wheel are in order but upon winding, the train winds down itself - possibly a fault with the escapement or a train wheel. Sold as repair so no return on this item. Dates from 1928 with movement number 26572249. Diameter is 45 mm, excluding pendant and bow.
