ANTIQUE 19THC. BRONZE MIDDLE EASTERN/ASIAN TEMPLE BELL.
Stands 7 1/2 inches high. Rim edge measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter.
The Bell is cast in bronze. Weight is 585 Grams. Good colour and patination. I would say it dates to the mid 1800's.
I am unsure of its origin, possibly Islamic or Tibetan. Most probably a Temple Bell. It has an intricate claw design handle with bobbin turned shaft. The shaft is secured to the bell via a brass pin. see photo. Although it only has a small clanger, it still has a nice tone.
Overall condition is good. General surface wear consistent with age and use. Please see all photos to assess.
