Description: You are bidding for a stunning and very beautiful silver brooch . It is fully marked to the inside for Birmingham 1902 and has the makers name of Vaughton

To the untrained eye this just appears to be a Royal Crown with an Axe sticking out but this is in fact representing a Christian symbol

The AX and Crown it is said that the The son of the King of Norway. As a youth he lived a wild life. Accepted baptism and as king summoned missionaries from England to Christianize his country. He died 1030 A.D. 

As you can see from the detailed photos this is a fantactic brooch that has been made with great detail and style and considering its age it is in excellent condition

This is a stunning silver brooch from Norway Christianity that would certainly compliment any collection or display and would also make an ideal gift for any friend or loved one especially if they love symbolic silver jewellery
