You are bidding on an outstanding antique 12s Elgin 15 jewel gold octagonal pocket watch circa 1921 which is offered in mint condition and with no reserve.

This beautiful antique timepiece features a stunning octagonal shaped yellow gold case which is in amazing condition with no dents, dings, scuffs or scrapes. The back cover snaps on tight and flush and and has a beautiful subtle engraved design which looks as good as the day it was made. The inside of the cover is marked Elgin Giant 14 karat gold filled and has an inscription dated December 1921.

The edges of the covers have an attractive ornate engraved design which is very crisp and clean and shows no wear. The gleaming bezel houses a superb bright white porcelain dial which is in perfect condition with no hairlines or chips. The dial is accented by bold black numbers and black minute markers with stunning blued hands and a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock.

The glass crystal is perfect with no marks or scratches of any kind, the bow is tight and the crown winds and sets the watch crisply as it should. The gleaming movement is nicely damaskeened and is marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. USA 15 jewels and serial #24024353 which dates it to circa 1921. The movement runs strong and smooth when wound and keeps excellent time.
